Northwest Atlanta's international general aviation gateway. On-site US Customs. 358 based aircraft. 110,000 annual operations. Your Sprinter waiting at the Ascension FBO.

Cobb County International Airport — McCollum Field (RYY/KRYY) — opened September 4, 1960, as the first newly built civilian airport in the country at that time. Named after Cobb County Commissioner Herbert McCollum, the field has grown into one of Georgia's busiest general aviation airports, generating $129 million in annual economic impact and representing 15 percent of the state's total general aviation economic contribution.
The “International” designation is earned: an on-site US Customs and Border Protection facility has processed over 1,300 international arrivals from 52 countries since 2015. With 358 based aircraft, 110,000+ annual operations (approximately 350 per day), and over 500,000 square feet of hangar space, McCollum Field operates at a scale that rivals many regional commercial airports.
The field has hosted notable arrivals throughout its history, including US Presidents, Margaret Thatcher, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. During Super Bowl LIII in 2019, McCollum Field accommodated 160 aircraft. Five flight schools, Flightworks (the largest tenant, offering charter and air ambulance services), and the Georgia State Patrol helicopter headquarters all call the field home.

With over 500,000 square feet of hangar space capable of accommodating aircraft up to the Gulfstream G650, Ascension handles the full spectrum of corporate aviation. Your chauffeur coordinates directly with Ascension's ground team before your aircraft arrives.

For international arrivals, US Customs and Border Protection is handled on the field. Your chauffeur coordinates timing so the Sprinter is ready the moment you are cleared — no additional wait, no separate facility. The airport's ARFF capability, equipped with Oshkosh Striker trucks, provides an additional layer of operational assurance.
