Georgia's newest jet-capable airport. ILS precision approach. 90,000 lb weight capacity. No terminals. No TSA. Your Sprinter waiting at the FBO — 30 miles northwest of the city.

Paulding Northwest Atlanta Airport opened in November 2008 as the first new jet-capable public airport in Georgia since 1975. Originally named Silver Comet Field — after the adjacent 61.5-mile Silver Comet Trail — the airport was built on land the City of Atlanta had originally purchased in 1975 for a second major commercial airport. When that plan was shelved, Paulding County acquired 162 acres in 2007 and built PUJ to serve the rapidly expanding northwest corridor of metro Atlanta.
Total investment in the airport exceeds $70 million, including more than $55 million in FAA funding. The 5,505-foot runway is engineered far beyond what its length alone suggests: weight capacities of 90,000 lbs (single-wheel) and 130,000 lbs (dual-wheel) mean PUJ can handle heavy corporate jets. An ILS approach on Runway 31 provides precision instrument landing capability.
Paulding County is the second-fastest-growing county in the region, with a population of 188,000 and a median household income of $94,000. An adjacent 110-acre industrial park and steady corporate growth are driving increasing demand for business aviation access at PUJ.

The Chattahoochee Tech Aviation Academy — a 55,000-square-foot training facility that opened in Spring 2024 — anchors the airport's role as an aviation education hub. Dependable Aviation operates a flight school on-site, while the Georgia Tech Flying Club and Lockheed Martin Employees Flying Club both use PUJ as their home field.
Infrastructure expansion continues: 35 to 40 new hangars are under construction (LH Construction, expected completion October 2025), reflecting the demand for based aircraft capacity. The FBO provides a modern passenger terminal and hangar facilities purpose-built for corporate aviation.
Combined with LuxShuttle's ground coordination, the experience from aircraft cabin to Sprinter cabin is measured in steps, not minutes. Your chauffeur coordinates directly with the Paulding Airport FBO before your arrival. When your aircraft touches down, the Sprinter is already positioned — cabin climate-set, refreshments chilled, luggage handled the moment it comes off the aircraft.

Full-service FBO, fueling, hangar, passenger terminal, ground handling, corporate jet support. 35–40 new hangars under construction (LH Construction, expected Oct 2025).
Provide your tail number, FBO preference, and estimated arrival time. Your chauffeur handles all coordination with the Paulding Airport FBO from there.
Your chauffeur tracks your aircraft in real time and arrives at the FBO before you land. Delays and early arrivals are adjusted automatically.
Once your aircraft is marshaled to parking, your Sprinter is waiting steps from the ramp. The vehicle is ready when you deplane.
Step off the aircraft, step into cream leather. Luggage is transferred directly. You are on the road to Kennesaw, Marietta, Buckhead, or Downtown within minutes of touchdown.

PUJ features a 5,505-foot runway with weight capacities of 90,000 lbs single-wheel and 130,000 lbs dual-wheel, meaning it can accommodate heavy corporate jets far beyond what the runway length alone might suggest. The field also has an ILS approach on Runway 31 for precision instrument landings.

For guests arriving by corporate jet and heading to northwest metro Atlanta or the growing Paulding County corridor, PUJ eliminates the congestion and ground transfer time associated with Hartsfield-Jackson. There is no TSA screening, no commercial terminal crowds, and no competing with airline traffic on the taxiways.
